was try last week to install ROS on BeagleBone Black,but on the web doesn’t exist a correct guide to complitely install ROS without have errors.

Thank Ubiquity robots groups for explain the correct way to resolve the problem.

  1. Get Ubuntu 12.04 Image and flash it on to SD card, I have not tested this on the eMMC. http://www.armhf.com/index.php/boards/beaglebone-black/ *I used the May 29, 2013 image for Ubuntu 12.04. I do not know if the next steps will work on other images.
  2. Follow the directions seen at the Ubuntu ARM Page. http://www.ros.org/wiki/groovy/Installation/UbuntuARM Install packages with this command:
    $ sudo apt-get install ros-groovy-ros ros-groovy-ros-comm

    If you would like to make packages you will need to run the following command:

    $ sudo apt-get install build-essential
  3. It Works! Test the ROS installation by Completing the ROS Tutorials.
